So I was watching the Marie Antionette movie, I dislike parts of this movie but there is no denying how much a feast for the eyes it is. I have movies I watch for feelings, others for my morals -- and some of them are just for the pretty. This movie is of the last group.

I realized that I only become deeply entrenched in a new fandom when I need to transfer real emotions off of something. My life has been pretty stable, so Naruto has stayed pretty much my fandom for the time despite it's being pretty much dead to me, as a lot of those emotions are now.  I re-watched Elizabeth: The Golden Age. I love it as much as I ever did. The thing I love about it most is the way its filmed. They make use of the architecture that they were filming it. It's not just straight pan shots or blahblahblah. You get these odd angles, through archways or ornate screens of the cloisters, as if you are spying on them. ( Read more... )
